i'll be missing you

Without a doubt, this holiday in KL has been one of the best ever.

Amongst many other things, it's also due to the fact this year, the most number of cempakans ever has come back, all at the same time.

I find it amazing how time has changed us all. Not in terms of looks or appearances, but how our relationships have changed. We might not have been close in high school, but now, every cempakan is instantly a friend. Because after all, we were all a part of each other's lives growing up.

Now that I'm back in Melbourne and out of uni, I'm just beginning to come to terms with the fact that I may never see as many of my childhood friends again - at least not for a much longer time than I'm accustomed to. No more late nights at Caryl's, listening to her dad's philosopical musings and gossiping in her bedroom. No more crossing the koi pond in Therese's and waiting for her to hurry up and get changed. No more Kim and Anita! Thank God I got to spend time with you all before I left - especially Lyn and Char, two people I haven't seen in yeaaarrrrss.

So until we all meet again - I may not be a serial Facebook tagger/photo uploader, but I blog! Which takes wayyy longer so you guys should get off my case hmpf!

Get your Gmail on!

Ok this might come across as somewhat geeky

But these are too adorable to pass up! Behold, official Gmail stickers! For FREEZ, YO!

Pawned from The Official Gmail Blog:

There's the standard Gmail m-velope -- dressed up in glitter. One of three bookplate style stickers you can stick on anything from the inside of a favorite book to your laptop or your skateboard. (Trading with friends is encouraged -- we realize the unicorn isn't for everyone.) And there's a sheet of keyboard shortcut stickers intended as a tool to help people learn Gmail's shortcuts. The adhesive is a bit more removable than standard stickiness, so you can take them off once you've trained your fingers.

Check out the Gmail Blog to see how you can get your hands on em - for free! Yes srsly! I want them! But I have no idea what an International Reply Coupon is??

Don't you think my keyboard would look awesome with those keyboard shortcut stickers on em? And a glittery m-velope or two??

Lately, there've been so many things I want to write about. Things that happen which I never thought would. Things that are still ongoing which I wish would just end. For some reason, whenever I come back to KL, life speeds up - events, memories and emotions just keep coming full throttle and I find myself exhausted yet exhilarated every day. So I'm sorry if I've been neglecting blogging! At least now you know why  :)

I stumbled across these pictures in my computer of my last day in Melbourne! Our AWESOME Commerce Faculty organized this uber swanky farewell event to the class of 2008 at none other than the Promenade at Crown Casino. I think this is the first time they've ever done something like this, but my hat's definitely off to them because it was funkadelic, yo! The place looked amazing, drinks were free flow and of course, having my entire faculty with me meant lots of teary farewells (Even to the random people I only saw like once the entire semester in tutes :P)

~Edit~

I'm back! One thing I really hate about sitting outdoors in Malaysia - there are just so many bugs! And the worst part is that for some reason, bugs kept on dive-bombing us from the roof of Lyn's outdoor gazebo. According to Therese, they must have been really happy to see us.

"Can't you just imagine them plopping onto the table with a big "HEEELLLLOOOO"???" she chortled when a humungous green beetle almost landed in her chrysanthemum tea.

"No, I think your wad of tissue just foiled its suicide attempt"

Aaaanywayyyy...

We left Crown a little early to make a beeline to our next destination at Eve. *ahem* some parts of the night are better left undisclosed, but suffice it to say that I have amazing friends. And of course, a Penguin who is very good to me. :)
