Tomorrow

I have to go to work again. :(

So, after spending the entire day out yesterday, the pixie thought that today would be her official day of rest - where she got to do everything she'd been meaning to do all week but never found the energy for, i.e. baking some trial Christmas cookies for the shebang on the 23rd. So after lunch, the usual dim sum with family, she requested a trip to the grocery store.

(I think I should stop referring to myself in the third person.)

Good God the jam to the Curve was MASSIVE.

You know how long it took to even get to the turning which led to the road which leads to the Curve?! An old man hopped out of the car in front of us, took his grandkid for a leisurely stroll along the road while his car inched along in the jam and managed to get halfway there in 2 minutes...SWEAT.

And btw finding baking goods in Malaysia is effin' hard! Giant has practically nothing. I found everything in Tesco today, but they weren't exactly what I was hoping for...

I found cookie cutters, but no Christmassy ones :(
Found food colouring, but liquid, not gel :(
Barely found icing sugar - snapped up the last pack on the shelf

I couldn't find meringue powder for my royal icing or muffin cups for muffins (can you believe they sell mini cupcake cups by the hundreds but there isn't a single regular sized muffin cup to be found anywhere?!)

Hmpf. No wonder baked goods are so expensive here. Even a little pack of Hershey's chocolate chips is like more than 10 bucks.

Oh, forgot to mention that I also went for a trim today. Well it was supposed to be a trim. My hair's shoulder length now even though I specifically said I wanted to maintain the length as much as possible. My mother la! Say cut shorter cut shorter. But as it turned out, I got complimented on it at dinnertime by someone I just met, so I've decided I'm ok with it ^^

By the time we got home, I had just enough time to make my cookie dough and pop it into the fridge when Winnypoo called for dinner. So off to Sunway Pyramid were we, to be fed by Joshua's over-ordering friends at Dragon-I. I swear I'm never gonna lose weight at the rate I'm going! The Dragon-I at Pyramid's much better than the one in OU though...somehow the food was just better and the service was pretty snappy - all our food came at the same time and took up four tables :D

After that we took off to Murni SS2 for a short catch up with Ashwin and some long-lost Cempakans I haven't spoken to since Form Four O.O Han Hui, Li Yin, Phillip Soon and Samuel omg! It's funny how we're all so friendly with each other now when we never really used to talk in high school. In retrospect, all that high school popularity stuff doesn't matter shit now that we're all grown up and past that I-must-appear-cool thing.

Anyways! Home at last and it's time for bed because I have to go back to work tomorrow. *cries* This time, I'm bringing a book. And some speakers for entertainment. Wish me luck.
