homesickness.

I was watching the promotional video they always play in the plane as you're about to land in Melbourne. It was kinda funny in a way, because everything they make Melbourne out to be does absolutely nothing for me. They actually described Melbourne as "the world on a plate".

Which left me completely baffled, because despite there being many more ethnic groups here than Malaysia perhaps, we are always at a loss for what to eat. It's always either Italian or Chinese or...Indian? Or...

See, I can't even think of anything else -_-"

It *could* be that eating's just too expensive here for us to actually go wild with it, so I can't actually compare. Piffle.

It feels sort of surreal to be back. To be surrounded by Australian faces and the familiar yet alien feel of my apartment. To walk down the roads I've walked in for years, yet feel completely out of place. To see wide open roads that aren't completely jammed or filled with speeding Kancils. To have coffee at an Italian cafe instead of a mamak, with its giant screen tuned to StarSports and patrons dressed in PJs.

I've got tons of pics to put up, but still lazy to upload. Heehee. I'm busy moping around here okay. Haven't even unpacked yet. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow...speaking of which, class is starting and the bloody timetable system is down, so I have no idea when/where/WHAT classes I have. The fact that all my friends actually had the foresight to save their timetables instead of accessing it online is like...lagi zha tou for me :( A true Netizen I am!

Oh. And to top it all off, I feel fat and short. Don't you "Pfft" me! I am entitled to feeling this way because I am in the pits of depression. :(
