Someone PLEASE tell me how to get over writer's block because at the moment it's looming over me like an NBA basketball player!
It's not just that I can't think of anything to say, despite it being a simple book review, I also have lost my ability to string together coherent words and phrases to make the thing we call a sentence...can't think of any adjectives to use, can't make the sophisticated-sounding sentences we require for university level work (even though they always say use simple words, hah!) and just plain can't write.
I've been putting this off for weeks and weeks and I started this at one today and now it's almost seven and I haven't even got halfway through SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMM
As you can see, I'm going mad.
3 pixie potion(s):
book review: hmm.. u could talk abt one of the characters, Jane Eyre, Mark Waugh, etc. compare it with other books - more boring or interesting than The Secret Window, Pearced Eyes, writing style, cover design, etc. hope u get some ideas! - dave
I get that. Try leaving it and coming back to it a little later. I like to have a shower or go for a run. Even talking to friends takes the pressure of writing off - i guess when your pushing yourself to write something you just end up with standard stuff. Good writing just flows. So i guess you need to take the pressure off yourself a little and you'll be good to go.
