Free Dinner :)

Very very very tired. A tad annoyed. I planned to start my macroeconomics assignment today but still have no idea how to do it. Can anyone tell me why an increase in the world oil price will have any effect on Australian monetary policy (interest rates)???? WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!?!

I just came back from dinner with a friend who treated me for my birthday. Tried a Bacardi on the rocks. Kinda like how I would imagine expired Sprite to taste like :) We left at eight, ended up talking and now it's almost one. Hmmmm. Haven't had such a long dinner before, or probably such a long conversation. Feels nice to be able to have that since Em's gone off and I don't have anyone to have these intellectual conversations with anymore. Anyway, off to take a shower because cigarette smoke is stuck in my hair. Have just sent a rejection sms to a guy I met during horse riding on Thursday. It was very very hard because I have this thing about saying no to people...and he's a very nice guy. But I just met him and I wouldn't feel comfortable about going to a movie one on one with him, and I cant get anyone else to come! Sigh.

Ok, short spiel about my birthday: Fabulous. Unexpected. Fun. Happy. I went to the casino! And made money on the roulette tables, hahaha. I just bet on the red or black, which was sooo easy, I don't even know why people bother to try betting on numbers. Sure you make more, but if you bet red or black you just need to play more often to make the same amount of money with less risk. I think. Maybe it was just beginner's luck. Everything in the casino was so richly luxurious, anything which could have a gold-gilded edge had one, everything that could be draped with plush red velvet was indeed draped, table minders were immculately dressed and impeccably professional, Sparkling lights proclaiming pie-in-the-sky jackpots were everywhere and for that night I felt glamorous even though it was only a casino and the glitterati consisted of aunties toting jade bracelets and typical auntie-style perms and little old men marking probabilities on their cards.
