Hello Sunshine

Yes! Summer is finally and truly here! Why? Because it's the first time since I can remember that I've actually been kicking off the blankets at night and wearing tank tops to school without having to run, shivering in the wind, back home cursing the devilish flightiness of Melbourne weather.

You know how they always talk about people eating when they're depressed? What about people eating when they're happy? Because that's me to a T. Emerging from the gloomy confines of the uni computer lab, and amazed to still see the sun, the first thing that came to my mind, Homer Simpson-like, was "Doughnut!" A nice pink doughnut with sprinkles on it to celebrate the summer. Unfortunately, Donut King had closed by the time I reached the Union House, and they were all out of newspapers too. Nevertheless this did not dampen my mood and I trotted out resolving to buy myself ice cream from 7-11. On the way, though, the delectable cheesy smell of pizza wafted out of Frank's Cafe, stopped me in my tracks, and caused my feet to veer of in a sharp 90 degree turn which resulted in a near-collision with the road curb, but it was worth it. Pizza was on special today, a dollar a slice!

So I munched happily on my pizza slice, so intent I was on it that I almost crashed into a parking meter. Oh well. And I did buy myself that ice cream too. Well, I'm a growing girl, and I need my after-school snack.

I actually think that I'm reverting to litte-girl dom, because I find myself suddenly craving milk from those little boxes. I haven't really drank milk since my early teens, when I was officially a milk monster. So that must mean something.

And yes! I've finished the macro assignment. But all is not yet well because I have no idea how I'm gonna face the exam if I can't even do this assignment....oh and I got back my previous assignment which involved analyzing a situation, and writing a comment on someone else's analysis. I did alright for the first part, but i only got 50% for the comment because apparently I commented too much on the structure of the analysis rather than the economics. Well what do you expect from a non-commerce student like me with a lengthy background in writing essays with English as her best subject? Geez.

And I got back a Quantitative methods assignment, which I thought I did pretty well in. Imagine my mixed horror and amusement when I got it back only to find that I had reduced my grade from a H1 to an H2 because I LEFT OUT TWO QUESTIONS. Shock! Disgrace! It's because the equation involved so many symbols, and I was typing out the assignment, so I left a big blank space in the text meaning to write it in later but as it turns out, I FORGOT TO! DOH! Well, at least I can try to console myself with the thought that I might have gotten a H1 if I had included them...I'm sure I got them right....sigh.

Yes, this post is alll about uni....I've actually skipped so many lectures cos I'm sooo not in working mode yet...but exams are coming up and I still have tons to do. My knitting has been abandoned because it was getting looser and looser and scarves can't have wonky shapes, they have to be straight all the way. So I took it out. But my friend, who starts the first row for me, has forgotten how to start rows! So I can't do a new scarf! *sadness*

Ok, time to go listen to a lecture. Pray for the sun!
