Was rudely awoken by Hoong today

"Woi, lunch what time?"
*groggy* "Uhrrr...1...something?"
"You mean 1 something reach there or 1 something leave the house?"
"1 something leave the house larr..."

Reach by 1! Must reach OU by 1 ah! Faster!"


Needless to say
By the time I got myself out of bed etc, it was *already* 1
Jumped into the car and flew to OU
Then hopped into Hoong's car and went to SS2 for chicken rice
Jeebus...he could've told me to just go to SS2!

Picked up Nesh on the way back to OU
Had lunch with him AGAIN at Secret Recipe
Kai Kai-ed and bought some Movin' Wax for Win Win and The Penguin
It was damn colourful wei...I was damn rambang looking at all the colours


"Oooo....prettyyyy...I wanna get one of each!"
"Sweat...one of them is 20 bucks, you only have enough money to buy 3 of them"

Wandered through Pets Wonderland
It's sooo big
There are puppies loping around on their too-long legs
Fish of all sizes and shapes
Birdies (don't hamsap)
Adorable super fluffy bunnies who squish their faces against the sides of the cage
Gerbils, hamsters and of course, mice!

There were sooo many mouse toys (more than I've seen in Melbourne, which is a little odd)
And I wanted to get something to lavish on Snowball
But...most of the stuff is made of wood and probably not allowed into Australia
:(

Flew home to change into nicer clothes
Was supposed to go over to Sierramas to have dinner with Snongy
Here's the sweat part
She thought she was picking me up and I thought I had to go there on my own
So she drove over to my house after work, while I was already somewhere on the Penchala Link speeding away to Sungai Buloh
Nesh the driver got lost, clever him
We ended up at Sungai Buloh Hospital, and had to ask two toll people how to get to Sierra
Ironically, just as we saw the bright lights of the hugeass Sierramas sign
Snongy calls

"Eh, I don't get your message. What do you mean you're leaving *from* your house?"
"I'm leaving the house to go to your house loh?"
"Huh? But I'm outside your house"
"WHAT?! WHY?!"
"I THOUGHT I WAS PICKING YOU!"
"I THOUGHT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO MYSELF! SO YOU MEAN YOU ARE ALL THE WAY THERE AND I'M ALREADY HERE?!"
"AIYO! HOW?!"

So I waited for her in the car, thinking she would speed along in about 15 minutes
But then she called and said she would be there in 20
I decided to go in and just wait in her house since her parents were expecting me
But as luck would have it, her parents were out
So basically, this is what happened:

I rang the doorbell
This is Snongy's new house and an unfamiliar neighbourhood, so I had no idea whether it was the right house or not
A maid answered the door and said nobody was home
I was like...errr...Sin ning?
She merrily repeated that no one was home, but let me in
So I assumed she knew who I was and pranced in, expecting to see her parents
There was no one around but this old lady who barked at me in Hokkien
And she didn't understand English!

Tell me what I was supposed to do
No one at home, nobody in the house I recognize
The only person talking to me was yabbering in a dialect I can't understand for nuts

So...I sat down and watched TV with her
For a long, agonizing time
Until the phone rang

"Eh Mel, where you?"
"In your house...I think"
"Huh? Who let you in?"
"The maid...I think she recognizes me"
"The maid is a new one lah!!!"
"There's an old lady here...I think she's your grandma"
"HUH? What are you doing?'
"Uh...watching TV with her..."
"ROFL"
"Eh, is this your house anot wei? Takkan I wandered into the wrong house and I'm watching TV with someone else's grandma?!"
"*SNORT**LAUGH* I'll be there in ten minutes ten minutes then we'll know *SNORT**LAUGH*"

The wait was agonizing
But thank goodness it was her house!

Anyhoots had dinner and good conversation as usual
Got picked up at midnight by a car full of Nesh, Damien, Mel 1 and KL
Hopped over to Hartamas to shisha
Listened to a nightful of lame jokes, which I will undoubtedly pass on to anyone who hasn't already heard them :D
Now I am home
